Emnamu Foundation provides succor to women who deliver new babies in Adamawa

In his quest to provide succor to women who deliver new babies ante natal and post natal periods, the Emnamu foundation has reached out to pregnant women across many hospitals in Adamawa State.

The move is part of the organization’s drive to help families and mitigate poverty through sustainable empowerment programmes.

The foremost Foundation in a project christened “special maternity intervention” which is part of the empowerher initiative, one of the seven core interventions of the foundation in the state is geared towards saving lives of pregnant women and the babies they bear.

Today’s intervention was made at various health centers in the state including General hospital Numan, State Specialist Hospital, Yola, teaching hospitals Yola, Federal Medical Center, Hong and General Hospital Michika among others.

Part of the items received include wrapper, blanket, mosquito nets, detergent and a cash donation of fifty thousand naira each to each of the beneficiaries.

The President Emnamu Foundation, who was ably represented by his Chief of Staff and the national Coordinator of the Foundation, Comrade Kukuya Godwin reiterated his commitment to service to humanity.

He noted that the intervention is aimed at ensuring that both the mother and the baby remain healthy throughout the ante natal and post natal periods noting that the move will also mitigate morbidity and mortality of mothers and their babies especially during child birth.

Thanking Emnamu foundation for the wonderful gesture, a beneficiary who recently delivered a new baby, Madam Rhoda Saleh said the assistance will go a long way in providing succor to the family especially at this critical time of economic turmoil.

She urged other well meaning individuals to emulate the gesture of the foundation in order to bring succor and relief to the less privileged members of the society.
